Isidore Kozminsky was born in Melbourne, Australia (25th October, 1870). A renowned esoteric and occult author, including books on astrology and numerology Isidore had a doctorate in archaeology. Prior to the publication of his book “The Magic and Science of Jewels and Stones” in 1922, he submitted an article to “The Argus”, a Melbourne newspaper) entitled “Engaged” dated between 1917 and 1920. Considered as a pioneer in the awareness of gems and semi-precious stones being linked to zodiac signs, his success as an occultist led him to leave Australia in 1935 for London where he bought a well-founded jewellery business extending his profound interest in the relationship of the stones to people born under different zodiac signs.
